Your appointment

An appointment system is in operation in our surgery. A GP appointment is for 15 minutes and is for one person and one problem only. If you think you will require longer, please ask for a double appointment.

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

We now have the facility to send you appointment confirmations and reminders by text. If you would like to use this service, please make sure we have an up to date mobile number for you.

Teaching and training

We teach foundation doctors and medical students from Liverpool University. You may be asked if you would talk to a student, or with your permission the student may be present when you see the doctor or nurse. Please feel free to say if you would prefer not to see the student.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
